Pregnancy Week 38:

Monday, January 15, 2007
Nothing really to report today with the baby. Karl and I went into the hot-tub and two beautiful hawks landed on our tree. One was a red-tail hawk, most likely female, pretty small, the size of a pigion and flew away soon after arrival. The other was big and gorgeous. I have gone on the internet to find out what type the hawk was, but no success yet. The big hawk had food and flew to the top of our fence and went to town on the food. Feathers were flying everywhere. Once the meal was over, the hawk flew away which was a gorgeous sight to see.

Health update:
85% thinning and 1 1/2 to 2 cm dilated. Baby weighs around 7 lbs. Baby positioned head down. Mom and Dad are healthy.
Next Doctor's Appointment is Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 1:50 pm

The baby is very active, moving all the time. Big motions, but they are all directed towards the back, so it is looking like the baby is positioned great.

Today I went to the local yarn store and bought a pattern to make a winter hat for the newborn baby. I bought yellow yarn and have begun to knit. Thank goodness for Grandma Corwin, who taught us how to knit. I still remember how to do it from her.

I met Babette at Home Depot and helped her shop for some home improvement and then we went to Chipolte for lunch, and sat and talked for hours. It was so nice to get out of the house and hang out with a girlfriend. Then came home and fixed dinner.
